In September, food products prices rise 13.7% year-on-year in Armenia

YEREVAN, October 5. /ARKA/. In late September 2022, prices for foods and non-alcoholic beverages in Armenia were up 13.7 % from September 2021, according to the numbers, released today by the National Statistical Committee (NSC).
According to it, prices for bakery products rose 19.4%, prices for rice rose by 11.1%, prices for flour- by 15.9%, bread prices rose 19.7%, and pasta prices rose 31.5%.
Prices for lamb, pork and beef rose by 5.6%, 0.5% and 22.1%, respectively. Poultry prices upped by 4.1%. Fish and seafood prices rose 5.4%.
Prices for cheese rose 23.9% while prices for eggs fell 19.1%. Oils and fats went up in price by 7.5 %. Fruits went up in price by 21%, vegetables by 4.3%.
Prices for sugar, fruit puree, honey, syrups, chocolate and sugar biscuits increased by 7%. Prices for coffee, tea and cocoa rose by 12.4%. Prices for mineral or spring water, as well as bottled drinking water rose by 9.6%.
Prices for vodka went up by 11.9%, wine - by 1.7% and tobacco - by 8.7%. -0-
