Industrial output in Armenia decreased by 18.5% in Q1 to AMD 599.8 billion

YEREVAN, May 8. /ARKA/. Industrial output in Armenia in the first quarter of 2025 amounted to AMD 599,826.7 million (in current prices), down by 18.5% compared to the first quarter of 2024. This is evidenced by the data published by the National Statistical Committee of Armenia.
At the same time, industrial output in March amounted to AMD 219,340.0 million, a decline of 16.9% compared to March 2024, and a growth of 15.9% compared to February 2025.
The volume of production in the mining industry and open-pit mines for January-March of this year amounted to 96,999.7 million drams (a 10.6% decline compared to January-March 2024), manufacturing industry - 390,006.4 million drams (a 26% decline).
The volume in the sphere of electricity, gas, steam and purified air supplies amounted to 105,606.5 million drams (an increase of 9.8%), and in the sphere of water supply, sewerage, waste management and recycling - 7,214.1 million drams (an increase of 1.5%).
The largest share in the structure of industrial production for January-March 2025 falls on the share of the manufacturing industry - 65%. The share of electricity, gas, steam and purified air supplies is 17.6%, mining and open pit mining – 16.2%, and water supply, sewerage, waste management and recycling – 1.2%. ($1 - 389.28 drams) -0-
