Consumer prices in Armenia were up 0.3% in May 2024 when opposed to the same month of 2023, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) reported.

YEREVAN, 6 June. /ARKA/. Consumer prices in Armenia were up 0.3% in May 2024 when opposed to the same month of 2023, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) reported.

According to the NSC, prices were down ).8% in May 2024 compared to April 2024. .Also, consumer price index in the first 5 months of 2024 was down 0.8% compared to the same tim,e span of 2023.

The Armenian government's inflation projection for 2024 is 4 per cent (±1.5 per cent). The Central Bank's forecast is 1.3% for 2024, 4.6-4.1% for 2025 and 4.7-4.1% for 2027.

The WB expects inflation in Armenia to be 3 per cent in 2024, 3.5 per cent in 2025 and 4 per cent in 2026. The IMF forecasts that prices in Armenia will rise by 3.1% in 2024 and 3.7% in 2025. ADB forecasts inflation to be 3 per cent in 2024 and accelerate to 3.5 per cent in 2025 under monetary policy easing. -0-
