Investment policy monitoring and evaluation system will be implemented in Armenia
YEREVAN, November 27. /ARКА/. At a meeting on Thursday, the Armenian government decided to develop and implement an investment policy monitoring and evaluation system.
The decision extends the implementation deadline for the relevant activities until December 2026.
It is noted that the creation of this system requires the development of an appropriate regulatory framework that will define the system's objectives, participants, their functions, areas of responsibility, interrelations, the volume of data collected and data flow management, as well as the sequence of investment policy implementation, the definition of final, intermediate, and immediate monitoring and evaluation results, indicators for achieving these results, and the initial and target values of these indicators.
To create this system, the government must take steps to create a necessary and reliable database. To this end, an investment registry is planned, which will serve as the analytical base for the investment policy monitoring and evaluation system.
In addition, the Ministry of Economy of Armenia is currently developing a draft law "On Investments", which provides for the government to retain authority to approve the methodology of the investment monitoring and evaluation system, including investment incentive measures.-0-
