Armenia posted 77.1% growth in jewelry production in January-February 2013, from the analogical period a year earlier, amounting to 3.5 billion drams, the National Statistical Service of Armenia told ARKA.

YEREVAN, April 5. /ARKA/. Armenia posted 77.1% growth in jewelry production in January-February 2013, from the analogical period a year earlier, amounting to 3.5 billion drams, the National Statistical Service of Armenia told ARKA.
It said in January-February 2013, 115.5 kg of jewelry was produced versus 111.8 kg last year (3.3% upturn).
Diamond production in Armenia within the reported period stood at 18626 carat, which was 3.1 times higher from January-February 2012.
Export of precious and semiprecious stones, precious metals and items made of them valued at $27.5 million (15.3% growth). ($1 – 418.25 drams). -0-
