Italian Renco company intends to invest $280 million in the construction of a new thermal power plant in Armenia, the company’s CEO Giovanni Rubini told Armenian prime minister Karen Karapetyan on September 19 in Yerevan, the government press service reported.
YEREVAN, September 19. /ARKA/. Italian Renco company intends to invest $280 million in the construction of a new thermal power plant in Armenia, the company’s CEO Giovanni Rubini told Armenian prime minister Karen Karapetyan on September 19 in Yerevan, the government press service reported.
The two men were said to have discussed the implementation of a framework agreement concerning construction of a new thermal power plant in the territory adjacent to the Yerevan thermal power plant.
Karapetyan attached importance to this program, saying it is of great importance for the energy system of Armenia. Rubini, in turn, noted with satisfaction that all the work is proceeding in accordance with the established schedule. -0-
