Russia to invest $1 billion in Armenia- deputy minister

Russia plans to invest $1 billion in the Armenian economy in the near future, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Volvach said at a press briefing on Tuesday on the sidelines of the Eighth Armenian-Russian Interregional Forum in Yerevan, TASS said.

YEREVAN, October 19. /ARKA/. Russia plans to invest $1 billion in the Armenian economy in the near future, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Volvach said at a press briefing on Tuesday on the sidelines of the Eighth Armenian-Russian Interregional Forum in Yerevan, TASS said.
He said the Russian-Armenia trade was recovering very well having grown this year by 17%, despite falling by almost 4% in the pandemic year. He said also that the overall Russian investments in Armenia have surpassed $ 2.2 billion.
'We know that there are concrete projects worth more than one billion US Dollars, which will soon be injected in the Armenian economy," he said. -0-
