Some 300 companies from 11 countries display their products at Armenia Expo in Yerevan
YEREVAN, September 15. /ARKA/. Some 300 companies from 11 countries will be displaying their products at the 22nd 3-day Armenia Expo 2023 that kicked off today in Yerevan.
In his welcoming speech the Deputy Minister of Economy Rafael Gevorgyan emphasized the necessity of organizing specialized exhibitions in the country, saying the enable to share industrial knowledge and technologies, to establish new business relations with the EEU member countries and other regional and international players.
Suren Nazinyan, CEO of LOGOS Expo Center, told ARKA that the main goal of the exhibition is to create a platform for communication between global markets (Slavic countries, Iran and the Arab world).
"This year we have 11 countries participating in the exhibition, in addition to Armenia - Russia, Belarus, Iran, UAE, Latvia, Czech Republic, Austria and some others.," he said.
According to him, Armenia Expo is a universal trade and industrial exhibition forum not limited in its thematic sections. The only sectors not covered by the expo are health and education.
"This year we can see the growing activity of furniture companies. This is most likely explained by the construction boom in Armenia," he emphasized.
Nazinyan said that the exhibition helps solve investment issues. According to him, contracts worth millions of dollars have been signed at the exhibitions in different years, for example, last year millions of USD worth contracts were signed for the supply of grain and buckwheat.-0-
