YEREVAN, April 8. /ARKA/. Revenue from state-owned property privatization amounted to about 178 million drams in Armenia in 2014, the head of the state property management agency Arman Sahakyan said, as cited by the government press office. 

Of it, 144.1 million drams were transferred to the government budget and 34.2 million drams to the regional budgets, Sahakyan said in reporting to the government. 

At the same time, funds from alienation of state-owned assets totaled 1,665.6 million drams, of them 1,488.7mln being transferred to the state budget and 176.8 mln drams to the budgets of the respective regions, according to the report. 

Sahakyan said some 25 buyers undertook obligations under these privatization and alienation agreements. Total investment commitments amounted to 10,757,050,000 drams and $4,270,000. Some 47 new jobs are expected to open under the agreements, he said. The obligations were fulfilled by 12 buyers, with investments totaling 434,859,737 drams and $3,083,932 respectively; some 28 new jobs were created. Four buyers failed to fulfill their obligations, and a total of 63.5 million drams were not invested. 

Armenia’s premier Hovik Abrahamyan spoke about the 2015 activities of the state property management agency, the priorities and the implementation process. The head of the government instructed to focus on incomplete construction during the year and to ensure the completion. ($1-474.15 drams).-0-
