UN predicts Armenia's economy to grow at 5.2% in 2024 and 4.8% in 2025

Armenia's GDP in 2024 will grow by 5.2% and will slow down to 4.8% in 2025, according to the UN report World Economic Situation Prospects, 2024.
YEREVAN, January 9. /ARKA/. Armenia's GDP in 2024 will grow by 5.2% and will slow down to 4.8% in 2025, according to the UN report World Economic Situation Prospects, 2024.
The report expects Armenia's economic growth in 2023 to amount to 7.8%. In general, for the CIS countries, including Georgia, GDP growth in 2024 is forecasted at 2.3%, and at 2.4% in 2025. UN analysts expect the highest economic growth in Uzbekistan at 6%, and the lowest in Russia at 1.3%.
The study notes that inflation in Armenia will be 2.6% in 2024 and 2.5% in 2025.
Armenia's goverment's economic growth forecast for 2023 is 7%, the Central Bank's forecast is 8.3%. -0-
