Unemployment rate in Armenia in 2022 dropped by 2.5% - Prime Minister

Armenia's unemployment rate in 2022 dropped by 2.5% to 13% from 15.5% in 2021, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a discussion of the annual report on the execution of the state budget 2022 in the parliament.
YEREVAN, May 29. /ARKA/. Armenia's unemployment rate in 2022 dropped by 2.5% to 13% from 15.5% in 2021, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a discussion of the annual report on the execution of the state budget 2022 in the parliament.
He noted that compared to 2018, when the unemployment rate was 19%, the drop amounted to 6%.
Pashinyan drew attention to the fact that in the third quarter of 2022 the unemployment rate was 11.6%, which was the lowest rate in the last 14 years.
According to official numbers, in 2022 November the number of officially registered jobs in the country amounted to 701,451. Some 153,462 jobs were created since May 2018 -0--
