Yulia Ustyugova to head IMF Resident Representative Office in Armenia in two months

IMF Resident Representative in Armenia Teresa Daban Sanchez met yesterday with Armenian Minister of Economic Development and Investment Suren Karayan to introduce Yulia Ustyugova, who will replace her in two months.

YEREVAN, June 21. /ARKA/. IMF Resident Representative in Armenia Teresa Daban Sanchez met yesterday with Armenian Minister of Economic Development and Investment Suren Karayan to introduce Yulia Ustyugova, who will replace her in two months. Teresa Daban Sanchez was appointed to the position in 2013, the ministry said in a press release.
During the meeting, Ustyugova was said to have presented her expectations from the forthcoming work in Armenia and discussed with the minister the directions of further cooperation. The minister stressed the readiness to deepen cooperation with the IMF.
"All the directions on which the IMF cooperates with Armenia have a direct impact on our economy: fiscal, monetary policy, improving the business atmosphere, etc. I am interested in our closer cooperation with the IMF," Karayan was quoted as saying.
The minister spoke also about the main priorities and goals of the government, as well as the main economic indicators of the new government program. -0-
