Armenian seismic stations recorded earthquake of 4-5 points in Shirak province

YEREVAN, September 3. /ARKA/. Armenian seismic stations recorded an earthquake of 4-5 points in the north of Armenia on Friday, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
It said the earthquake was recorded on September 3 at 14:29 local time 13 kilometers west of the village of Bavra in Shirak province, located in the Armenian-Georgian border zone.
The source of the quake was located at a depth of 10 km; the magnitude was 3.3. The strength of the tremors at the epicenter was 4-5 points.
The earthquake was felt in the villages of Saragyukh, Amasia, Ashotsk, Tavshut, Bavra, Shirak region and the village of Shirakamut, Lori region.
On August 6-18, a series of tremors with a force of 4 to 6 points were recorded in the Armenian-Georgian border zone. More than 70 aftershocks were recorded; no destruction and no casualties were reported. --0--
