Families of 9 Armenian citizens, killed in bus crash in Russia will receive 1.5 million dram assistance

The families of 9 Armenian citizens, who were killed in a bus crash earlier this month near the Russian city of Tula, will receive 1.5 million drams assistance, transport and communications ministry said today.

YEREVAN, November 9. / ARKA /. The families of 9 Armenian citizens, who were killed in a bus crash earlier this month near the Russian city of Tula, will receive 1.5 million drams assistance, transport and communications ministry said today.
Fourteen passengers with insures who continue treatment in medical institutions of Armenia and Russia will receive 700 thousand drams each and all the other passengers - 500 thousand drams, the ministry said. The decision was taken by a special government commission set up to handle the consequences of the accident.
Prime minister Hovik Abrahamyan will submit the draft decision for Cabinet's approval on Thursday. Compensation will be paid after the decision enters into force.
The bus was traveling to the Armenian capital, Yerevan, from Moscow with 59 passengers on board when the accident occurred. According to Russian authorities, the Yerevan-bound bus crashed in Russia’s Tula region because the driver fell asleep at the wheel.-0- ($1 – 479.86 drams). --0--
