An Armenian government delegation, led by prime minister Tigran Sargsyan will leave for Stepanakert, the capital of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), on September 2.
YEREVAN, September 2, /ARKA/. An Armenian government delegation, led by prime minister Tigran Sargsyan will leave for Stepanakert, the capital of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), on September 2 to participate in festive events dedicated to the 19th anniversary of proclamation of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, the Armenian government press office said.
A joint session of Nagorno-Karabakh provincial and Shahumian district councils adopted a declaration
September 2, 1991, based on the results of a referendum in which the overwhelming majority of people voted for declaring an independent Nagorno-Karabakh Republic within the administrative boundaries of former Nagorno-Karabakh autonomous republic and Shahumian district. In response to the move the Azerbaijani side used Alazan guns to hit Stepanakert. –0-
