President Sargsyan Appoints New Ministers Of Justice, Economy And Finance

Armenian president has appointed today Hrayr Tovmasian as a new minister of justice, economy and finance.
YEREVAN, December 17, /ARKA/. Armenian president has appointed today Hrayr Tovmasian as a new minister of justice, the presidential press office reported. He has replaced Gevork Danielian who was dismissed last week.

Late on Thursday the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) unanimously supported its leader, president Sargsyan’s proposal to relieve economy minister Nerses Yeritsian of his duties and appoint current finance minister Tigran Davtian as his successor. According to another decision, Central Bank vice-governor Vache Gabrielian will succeed Davtian as finance minister.

Hrayr Tovmasian has a PhD in law. He is an expert in constitutional law.

Tigran Davtian is a graduate of Moscow State University after Lomonosov. In 1991-1997 he held various positions in the ministries of economy and industry and trade. In 2000 he was appointed a deputy industry and trade minister. In 2001-2007 he served as deputy minister of trade and economic development. In 2008 he was appointed minister of fiancé.

Vache Gabrielian graduated from Yerevan State University. He had post-graduate courses in the USA, Great Britain and Switzerland. He served as an expert for a parliament committee on financial and credit issues and as an aide to Central Bank governor. He was on its board. In 2008 he was appointed deputy governor of Central Bank. -0-
