Spokesman for wealthy Armenian businessman denies media reports about letter to president Sargsyan

A spokesman for Hrant Vardanian, a wealthy Armenian businessman, who is the owner of Grand Holding, denied today media reports claiming that Vardanian sent a letter to president Serzh Sargsyan to voice his discontent at the government’s economic policies.
YEREVAN, February 11, /ARKA/. A spokesman for Hrant Vardanian, a wealthy Armenian businessman, who is the owner of Grand Holding, denied today media reports claiming that Vardanian sent a letter to president Serzh Sargsyan to voice his discontent at the government’s economic policies.
The spokesman, Vahram Brutian, said in an interview with ARKA that the allegations made by the pro-opposition daily Hraparak, which did not mention its source, does not correspond to the facts. The daily said in today ‘s issue that Hrant Vardanian lashes out in his letter at prime minister Tigran Sarkisian and his Cabinet asking ostensibly the president to ban the government from making any economic activity regulating decision in the next couple of years.
Earlier this week prime minister Sarkisian denied media claims about his strained relations with Hrant Vardanian. Another pro-opposition daily Haykakan Zhamanak citing its unnamed sources claimed that Hrant Vardanian was mulling on transferring his business to neighboring Georgia because of his tense relations with the prime minister and chairman of the State Revenue Committee Gagik Khachatrian. -0-
