CEC of Armenia processes 1,669,114 ballots of presidential election

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Armenia has processed 1,669,114 ballots of the presidential election in Armenia, the CEC Chairman Garegin Azarian told journalists.
YEREVAN, February 20. /ARKA/. The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Armenia has processed 1,669,114 ballots of the presidential election in Armenia, the CEC Chairman Garegin Azarian told journalists. The data provided leaves out 10 polling stations of Meghri and Ashotsk regions, he said.
“The snowstorm raged in these regions has not allowed delivering the voting result data from these polling stations,” Azarian said. Particularly, the matter concerns the election district N 38 – polling station 38/70 and the district N 33 – polling stations 33/13, 33/17, 33/18, 33/28, 33/29, 33/30, 33/31, 33/32, 33/33.
Yesterday countrywide presidential elections were held in Armenia with nine candidates running for presidency. 2,328,320 people eligible to vote could cast their ballots in total of 1,923 polling stations throughout the country.
About 14,000 observers from 39 local and 6 international organizations are watching the course of the elections in the country. –0—
