Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan signed a decree today appointing Armen Amiryan as member of the Public Television and Radio Council for a term of six years.
YEREVAN, December 16. /ARKA/. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan signed a decree today appointing Armen Amiryan as member of the Public Television and Radio Council for a term of six years.
Amiryan, born in 1967, served previously as executive director of the Public Radio of Armenia. A week ago he filed a resignation application, planning to take part in the contest for the position of member of the Public Television and Radio Council.
Armen Amiryan is a graduate of the Faculty of Culture of the Armenian Pedagogical Institute after Abovyan. He joined the State Committee on TV and Radio as an assistant director in 1987. In 1996 he founded Ar Radio Continental and ArmenAkob cultural center. From 1997 to December 7, 2015 he served as executive director of the Public Radio of Armenia.
In 2000 he founded ARMENAKOB TV. In 2010 he served as interim executive director of the Public Television of Armenia. In 2006 Amiryan was awarded the medal of Movses Khorenatsi. -0-
