Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan has dismissed today Armen Yeritsyan from the office of minister of emergency situation to appoint him as minister of territorial administration and emergency situations.

YEREVAN, December 1. /ARKA/. Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan has dismissed today Armen Yeritsyan from the office of minister of emergency situation to appoint him as minister of territorial administration and emergency situations.

Yeritsyan served as minister of emergency situations since 2010. Prior to that he was deputy chief of the Armenian Police and chief of an interior ministry’s department for combating organized crime.

Armen Yeritsyan was born December 25, 1960 in Yerevan. He is a graduate of a police school in Russian Volgograd and has a PhD in law.

On November 17 the Armenian parliament approved a bill on merging the ministry of territorial administration with the ministry of emergency situations and creating a new ministry for international economic integration and reforms.

Vache Gabrielyan, a chief advisor to the prime minister, was appointed as head of the latter ministry. He will combine it with the post of deputy prime minister. -0-
