YEREVAN, March 31. /ARКА/. Armenia made decisions that made a peace deal with Azerbaijan possible, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier said.

"Now the Azerbaijani side must cast aside all doubts, as the peoples of the region are waiting for the end of the long-standing conflict," he said at a joint press conference with his Armenian counterpart Vahagn Khachaturyan in Yerevan on Monday.

According to him, economic development will depend on political stability. Steinmeier stressed that it was not easy for Armenia to end the conflict. "Many countries can follow the example of this process, which can reach its conclusion," he added.

On March 13 the Armenian Foreign Ministry confirmed that Yerevan and Baku had finalized talks on the draft agreement on establishment of peace and interstate relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

'The peace agreement is ready for signing. The Republic of Armenia is ready to start consultations with the Republic of Azerbaijan on the terms and place of signing the agreement,” the Armenian Foreign Ministry said. -0-
