Yerevan has fully met its obligations required for the accession to the Eurasian Economic Union, head of the government Hovik Abrahamyan told Novosti-Armenia.
YEREVAN, July 7. /ARKA/. Yerevan has fully met its obligations required for the accession to the Eurasian Economic Union, head of the government Hovik Abrahamyan told Novosti-Armenia.
He said they believed the accession will take place this year.
Earlier mass media reported Kazakhstani foreign minister Yerlan Idrisov said at aEEU meeting in Minsk the agreement about Armenia’s joining the EEU would be most probably signed in October.
At the extended EEU Supreme Council meeting of May 29 in Astana, Armenia’s president said Yerevan intended to join the EEU by mid June. Yet, the respective documents are not yet signed.
On July 1, Russia’s Putin said at his meeting with Russian diplomats Armenia will become a full-fledged member of the EEU very soon. –0—
