Armenia’s ministry of economy to propose legislation changes related to membership in CU

Armenia’s ministry of economy is currently elaborating proposals on legislation changes related to Armenia’s accession to the Russian-led Customs Union, Armenian minister of economy Vahram Avanesyan told reporters after the government meeting Thursday.

YEREVAN, January 9. /ARKA/. Armenia’s ministry of economy is currently elaborating proposals on legislation changes related to Armenia’s accession to the Russian-led Customs Union, Armenian minister of economy Vahram Avanesyan told reporters after the government meeting Thursday.

These changes, most probably, won’t be many, the main part of them involves coordination and signing of international agreements, the minister said. Avanesyan stressed that the works will be carried out as per the action plan.

The minister said it is the Eurasian body that shall promulgate the roadmap for Armenia’s accession to the CU. 

The roadmap for Armenia’s accession to the CU was approved at a Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting in Moscow on December 24. –0--
