YEREVAN, November 17. /ARKA/. Armenia’s parliament passed the amendments to the law about government structure on Monday.
The amendments provide for merger of the ministries of territorial administration and emergencies and for formation of a new ministry responsible for international economic integration and reforms.
Total of 70 MPs voted in favor and 6 against, with 31 abstained.
Re-organizing the government aims at improving efficiency of public management and requires no additional expenses, Armenia’s minister of justice Hovhannes Manukyan said earlier during the bill discussions.
