Armenia seeks to produce 25-30 per cent of necessary military-technical products - Security Council

YEREVAN, 18 September. /ARKA/. Armenia seeks to have about 25-30% of military-technical products produced on the territory of the country, which is a strategic goal, Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan said.

‘Armenia's military-technical co-operation with Russia used to make up more than 96% (of the total volume - ed.). Currently, it has decreased to 10 per cent. Armenia currently has several important partners in the field of military-technical cooperation, particularly India and France. We are looking for new partners so that the work carried out in this direction would be more effective,’ Grigoryan noted during a panel discussion at the Second World Armenian Summit in Yerevan on Wednesday.

He noted that Armenia is developing its military-technical capabilities to protect its territorial integrity.

‘Strengthening sovereignty and democracy, defence of territorial integrity are strategic priorities for Armenia. Therefore, , it is necessary to expand cooperation with those countries that are ready to defend our priorities,’ Grigoryan noted. --0--
