Armenia welcomes Greek law on criminalizing genocides

Armenia welcomes the adoption of a law by the Greek Parliament criminalizing the denial of genocides recognized by Greek legislature, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said today in a statement.
YEREVAN, September 10. / ARKA /. Armenia welcomes the adoption of a law by the Greek Parliament criminalizing the denial of genocides recognized by Greek legislature, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said today in a statement.
"Thus, Greece has once again proved its commitment to universal values and has taken an important step towards the prevention of genocides and other crimes against humanity," said Nalbandian.
The Greek Parliament on Tuesday adopted an anti-racism bill criminalizing also the denial of the Holocaust and the Greek, Armenian and Assyrian genocides, committed by the Ottoman Turkey. -0-
