An Armenian delegation led by Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense Hamlet Batikyan and Armenian Ambassador to the United Kingdom Varuzhan Nersesyan attended a meeting in London March 28-29 as part of Armenia-UK defense cooperation to look into ways to fight corruption, the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry reported.

YEREVAN, April 1. /ARKA/. An Armenian delegation led by Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense Hamlet Batikyan and Armenian Ambassador to the United Kingdom Varuzhan Nersesyan attended a meeting in London March 28-29 as part of Armenia-UK defense cooperation to look into ways to fight corruption, the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry reported.

The British Defense Ministry was represented by Director General for Security Policy Paul Watt and Director for Defense Support Guy Lester.

During the meeting a string of issues related to Armenia -UK cooperation in the filed of combating corruption were discussed. Batikyan presented the current programs of the Armenian Defense Ministry in the fight against corruption.

The British side shared their experience and methodology in this sphere, as well as expressed readiness to provide the necessary support to the Armenian Ministry of Defense.

During the discussions, a number of agreements were reached on the implementation of joint programs, provision of expert and methodological assistance.-0-
