Armenia’s foreign minister Edward Nalbandyan is visiting Damaskus today, invited by his Syrian counterpart Walid Al-Muallem, the press office of the Armenian foreign ministry reports.

YEREVAN, May 27. /ARKA/. Armenia’s foreign minister Edward Nalbandyan is visiting Damaskus today, invited by his Syrian counterpart Walid Al-Muallem, the press office of the Armenian foreign ministry reports.

As part of his visit, Nalbandyan will meet with the Syrian leadership, according to the report.

The Armenian minister is expected to meet also with the Armenian community in Syria.

On Tuesday Nalbandyan visited Lebanon and had meetings with the Lebanon’s prime-minister Tammam Salam, speaker of the parliament Nabih Berri and the Lebanese foreign minister Gebran Bassil. –0—
