The Armenian government decided today to allocate 275 million drams to the Ministry of Internal Affairs to finance expenses related to holding elections to Yerevan Council of Elders.

YEREVAN, August 31. /ARKA/. The Armenian government decided today to allocate 275 million drams to the Ministry of Internal Affairs to finance expenses related to holding elections to Yerevan Council of Elders.

In particular, 3.2 million drams are to be spent on the purchase of paper and cartridges for printers, as well as on printing of electoral lists. Another 271.8 million drams will be allocated for postal services.

The elections to the Council of Elders (municipal assembly) are scheduled for September 17. The elections will be contested by 13 political parties and 1 bloc The winning political party will nominate a new mayor of Yerevan. ($1 - AMD 386.98) -0-
