YEREVAN, December 19. /ARKA/. The Armenian opposition, despite its statements, has failed to form a nationwide front during 2014, political and election technology expert Armen Badalyan said.

The three parliament parties have held two rallies, simply presenting their view on certain issues, Badalyan told reporters on Thursday.

According to him, the leader of Prosperous Armenia party Gagik Tsarukyan continues having meetings with so called opposition parties that are no great shakes.

“It is all about just a short-term PR”, he said.

The so-called off-power political trio, Prosperous Armenia, Heritage and the Armenian National Congress, put forward 12 demands on socioeconomic development of the country and urged the government to respond them by the end of September. After that, the trio held two rallies in the capital.

On November 10, Armenia’s president Serzh Sargsyan made a statement saying the government should once again discuss the 12 demands of the opposition and point to the processes where each of these demands will be fulfilled. –0--
