Hermine Naghdalyan, vice speaker of the Armenian National Assembly, has asked Karen Karapetyan, Armenian prime minister, to increase public servants’ salaries by 10 percent.
YEREVAN, October 21. /ARKA/. Hermine Naghdalyan, vice speaker of the Armenian National Assembly, has asked Karen Karapetyan, Armenian prime minister, to increase public servants’ salaries by 10 percent.
Speaking today at an extraordinary parliamentary session convened for discussing the new program of the government, Naghdalyan said the program implies some measures to be taken by the government to cut state administration jobs.
“Although the program implies increase of salaries and pensions, I would like to ask the prime minister to plan at least slight, 10-percent increase for public sector’s employees, taking into account the projected job cuts in this sector,” she said.
In her opinion, this will give them a motivation to work effectively. --0---
