YEREVAN, March 19. / ARKA /. Four opposition parties in the Armenian parliament – the Armenian National Congress, the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, the Heritage Party and the Prosperous Armenia Party –have reached an agreement after a meeting today on expressing vote of no confidence in the government, according to Levon Zurabian, head of the Armenian National Congress faction.
Top representatives of the four parties controlling more than 40 seats in Armenia’s 131-member parliament have held a series of consultations in recent days to draw up a joint political, social and economic agenda and a plan of actions to implement it.
According to Zurabyan, they need to address a number of technical issues, in particular, to collect signatures under a corresponding petition and draw up a draft resolution on expressing a vote of no confidence in the government at a parliament session on April 28.
"We understand that the process is somewhat delayed, but such a decision needs time to get ripe,» said Zurabyan. -0-
