Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on Tuesday sent a congratulatory message to Sergei Sobyanin in connection with his election as mayor of Moscow, Sargsyan’s press service said.
YEREVAN, September 11. / ARKA /. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on Tuesday sent a congratulatory message to Sergei Sobyanin in connection with his election as mayor of Moscow, Sargsyan’s press service said.
In the message Serzh Sargsyan says the results of the elections show the high trust of Muscovites in the mayor, his wealth of administrative and political experience in providing sustainable socio-economic development of the city.
"I wish you success in your endeavors aimed at the prosperity of the capital of the Russian Federation and the well-being of its people," the letter says.
According to the final data, Sobyanin scored 51.37% of the vote. His closest rival in the election- Alexei Navalny- garnered 27.24% of the vote. -0-
