The approach of Armenia’s president Serzh Sargsyan toward Russia-Armenia relations is very responsible, the governor of Saint Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko said in finalizing the results of his visit to Yerevan on Saturday.
YEREVAN, May 4. /ARKA/. The approach of Armenia’s president Serzh Sargsyan toward Russia-Armenia relations is very responsible, the governor of Saint Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko said in finalizing the results of his visit to Yerevan on Saturday.
He said he had a good and long meeting with the president, discussing inter-regional cooperation between Russia and Armenia in particular.
The president also stressed the importance of development of economic ties, in construction sector in particular, Poltavchenko said. The sides discussed involvement of Russian contractors in housing construction in Armenia. Scientific and technical cooperation was discussed as well, the governor said.
Poltavchenko shared his impression about the president being a thorough person aware of practically all problems and having a responsible approach to his work.
The Yerevan municipality and the government of Saint Petersburg signed an agreement on trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian cooperation for 2015-2020 in Yerevan last Thursday. –0--
