YEREVAN, July 20. / ARKA /. President Serzh Sargsyan hailed today a historic international agreement on easing Western sanctions against Iran saying that Armenia is interested in Tehran's full integration into international processes.
"Normal development of the neighboring Iran and its full integration into international processes is in the interest of Armenia," Sargsyan said in Yerevan during a joint press briefing with the visiting president of the European Council, Donald Tusk.
On July 14 after protracted talks that spanned 20 months, negotiators reached a landmark deal that appears set to reshape relations between Iran and the West.
The essential idea behind the deal is that in exchange for limits on its nuclear activities, Iran would get relief from sanctions while being allowed to continue its atomic program for peaceful purposes.-0-
