YEREVAN, February 21. /ARKA/. The Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Ministry of Defense has denied today Azerbaijani reports alleging that their military outposts were shelled by Armenian troops of Nagorno-Karabakh.

According to Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, their military positions near the villages of Shosh and Taghavard were shelled by Artsakh troops on February 20 and 21.

"The facts alleged by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense are completely false. The ceasefire in the area was in fact broken by Azerbaijani units who fired indiscriminately in the direction of the Artsakh Defense Army positions. No casualties or material damage was caused as a result," the Defense Ministry of Artsakh said.

It said the incident was reported to the command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent. -0-
