Artsvik Minasyan, acting Armenian economy minister, has already informed his staff that he will quit office, Hraparak reports.
YEREVAN, September 23. /ARKA/. Artsvik Minasyan, acting Armenian economy minister, has already informed his staff that he will quit office, Hraparak reports.
According to the newspaper, Minasyan is likely to be appointed to the environment minister position.
The newspaper also reports that structural changes in the economy ministry, which will be reorganized into the investment and entrepreneurship promotion ministry, will reduce the ministry’s powers – tourism, aviation and other segments will be taken out of the ministry’s competence.
According to the media report, official justification of Artsvik Minasyan’s replacement is following: “A person with business mentality is needed for this position.
Suren Karayan, the deputy international economic integration and reforms minister, who has been engaged in Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union, is expected to be appointed to this post. --0----
