Battlefield Cross awarded to head of field engineering company in Armenia

Armenia’s president Serzh Sargsyan awarded an order of Battlefield Cross II to the head of the field engineering company of one of Armenian military units captain Georgy Mnatsakanyan who was killed by a landmine on October 16 while performing his duties.
YEREVAN, October 21. /ARKA/. Armenia’s president Serzh Sargsyan awarded an order of Battlefield Cross II to the head of the field engineering company of one of Armenian military units captain Georgy Mnatsakanyan who was killed by a landmine on October 16 while performing his duties.
Under the presidential decree, Georgy Mnatsakanyan was posthumously awarded a Battlefield Cross II for bravery and valour, according to the report.
Chief of the field engineering service Armen Tsaturyan and chiefs of engineering platoons senior lieutenants Garush Hambartsumyan and Hovhannes Muradyan were awarded “For Bravery” medals; field engineers Narek Hakobyan and Edgar Harutiunyan received “For Battlefield Service” medals.
Garush Hambartsumyan, Narek Hakobyan and Edgar Harutiunyan were wounded during the incident. –0--
