Belgium ratifies Armenia-EU agreement

On August 24, Belgium notified the General Secretariat of the European Council and the EU Council of the completion of its internal procedures necessary for the ratification of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement between Armenia and the European Union, the foreign ministry of Armenia reports this on its Facebook page.

YEREVAN, August 25. /ARKA/. On August 24, Belgium notified the General Secretariat of the European Council and the EU Council of the completion of its internal procedures necessary for the ratification of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement between Armenia and the European Union, the foreign ministry of Armenia reports this on its Facebook page.
The agreement was signed on November 24, 2017 and ratified by the Armenian National Assembly on April 11, 2018. Armenia became the first Eurasian Economic Union country to sign such a document with the European Union.
Thus, of the 28 EU member countries, 23 have already informed the European Council and the General Secretariat of the Council of the EU about the completion of the internal procedures necessary for the ratification of the agreement. They are France, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Poland, Luxembourg, Denmark, Malta, Romania, Great Britain, Finland, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Germany, Ireland, Croatia, Sweden, Slovenia, the Netherlands and Belgium The agreement is also ratified by the parliaments of Austria and Greece. -0-
