YEREVAN, December 2. / ARKA /. Russia, as well as Kazakhstan and Belarus, the two other members of the Customs Union, regard Armenia as a full participant of Eurasian integration processes, Russian president Vladimir Putin said today at the opening of Armenian-Russian interregional forum in Armenia’s second largest town of Gyumri in the northern province of Shirak.

Putin said this was confirmed by the heads of these three countries at the latest meeting of the Supreme Economic Council of the trade bloc in Minsk, Belarus.

According to the Russian president, the practical work for Armenia’s accession to the Customs Union is underway, steered by the Eurasian Economic Commission, the executive body of the trade bloc.

Putin said Armenia and Customs Union members will have to harmonize a large package of legal, administrative and other issues and documents.

“We will continue to help Armenian friends to accelerate the accession process," he stressed. Putin said also he had already discussed the situation around Armenia's accession to the Customs Union with Armenian president.
