Effectiveness of education establishments in Armenia should be enhanced - premier
YEREVAN, October 13. /ARKA/. Karen Karapetyan, Armenian prime minister, gave some tasks to the education minister, provincial governors and the Yerevan mayor.

In particular, the premier gave them one week for submitting proposals for rooting out adverse phenomena, such as the usage of cronyism, sponsorship and collision of interests in choosing an educational establishment.

“Everybody understands what I’m speaking about – mother and daughter works and studies in the same school… I don’t rule out such a phenomenon, but it is necessary to separate objective and subjective factors,” he said.

Karapetyan also instructed Levon Mkrtchyan, education and science minister, to establish weekly communication with at least one rural school by working out jointly with the school appropriate mechanisms for introducing educational curricula here.

He stressed that there is the governmental noncommercial organization called the National Center for Educational Technologies in the country, which has created a system of communication with all the schools of the country, but this system is not being used effectively now.

The premier said that the country's all schools must be provided with this opportunity, especially those schools in want of teachers or proper educational level.

«I think this is a correct approach, and we will be consistent in this issue,» Karapetyan said. --0----
