The European Union is considering room for providing assistance to Armenia to help the country to cope with an inflow of refugees from Syria, Federica Mogherini is an Italian politician and the current High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, said Tuesday in Yerevan at her joint briefing with Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.

In her words, the matter was discussed during her current visit to Armenia, and the European Union is considering room for providing assistance via the trust funds established for solving this problem.
Armenia has hosted about 20,000 Syrian refugees. It came third among European countries that accepted the largest numbers of refugees per capita. --0---
