European Council president to hold meetings with Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders in Brussels

YEREVAN, December 13. /ARKA/. European Council President Charles Michel will hold a trilateral meeting with Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev in Brussels on December 14, Russian news agency TASS reported.
The meeting will be held on the ahead of the Eastern Partnership Summit to be held in the European capital city on December 15.
"The President of the European Council will hold separate meetings with the prime minister of Armenia and the president of Azerbaijan first and then will hold a trilateral meeting with them," TASS quoted a high-ranking EU official as saying.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had talks in Sochi on November 26 and adopted a joint statement. The parties agreed, in particular, to establish a bilateral commission on delimitation and demarcation of the state border between Azerbaijan and Armenia with consultative assistance of the Russian Federation and to solve humanitarian issues between the parties regarding the return of Armenian prisoners and hostages held in Azerbaijan.
