European integration is one of the most important directions of Armenia’s foreign policy, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said in an interview with the Armenian Service of Radio Liberty.
YEREVAN, November 12. / ARKA /. European integration is one of the most important directions of Armenia’s foreign policy, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said in an interview with the Armenian Service of Radio Liberty.
"It (the European integration) is one of the most important directions of our foreign policy, because we have a clear position that we should be able to diversify our foreign relations given that we are under transport blockade,” he said.
According to him, Armenia must deepen and expand its relations both with the Eurasian Union and the European Union.
He said when President Serzh Sargsyan announced on September 3 that Armenia opted to join the Russia-led customs Union he added that the decision did not mean an end of relations with the European Union. -0-
