Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Georgia discuss cooperation with EU and regional issues
YEREVAN, December 5. /ARKA/. On December 4 in Malta within the framework of the OSCE Ministerial Council, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Maka Botchorishvili.
The interlocutors reaffirmed their readiness to actively work jointly in the directions defined by the strategic partnership declared between the two countries in January this year, aimed at ensuring the well-being of the peoples of the two neighboring countries and stability in the region, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Maka Botchorishvili exchanged views on issues on cooperation with the EU. Minister Mirzoyan presented the steps undertaken towards developing the Armenia-EU new partnership agenda.
The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Georgia touched upon regional issues. Minister Mirzoyan presented the latest developments in the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, emphasizing readiness of Armenia to finalize and sign the bilateral treaty without any artificial delays.
