Former leader of prosperous Armenia laying ground for his return to political arena

Prosperous Armenia party intends to convene an extraordinary congress in November to reinstate its former leader, Gagik Tsarukyan, in his position – the chairman of the party board, which he left in February 2015 amid scandals, though refraining from quitting the party, Haykakan Zhamanak reported on Thursday referring to sources close to the party.
YEREVAN, October 13. /ARKA/. Prosperous Armenia party intends to convene an extraordinary congress in November to reinstate its former leader, Gagik Tsarukyan, in his position – the chairman of the party board, which he left in February 2015 amid scandals, though refraining from quitting the party, Haykakan Zhamanak reported on Thursday referring to sources close to the party.
The newspaper also reports referring to its own sources that the present leader Naira Zohrabyan will still be re-elected at the congress.
According to Haykakan Zhamanak, in recent months, Prosperous Armenia was preparing the ground for return of Tsarukyan, and yesterday Vahe Enfiajyan, the head of the party’s faction in the National Assembly, declared that the people is badly in need of Tsarukyan’s return to the political arena. --0---
