YEREVAN, June 29. / ARKA /. The Armenian government will ask the parliament to convene July 2 an extraordinary session to ratify the Armenian-Russian loan agreement, the government press-service said. The proposal will be announced officially by the cabinet on Tuesday.
The announcement that Russia will provide Armenia with a $200 million loan was made by Russian transport minister Maxim Sokolov after a meeting with Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan last Friday. The loan is to be used to purchase new weapons. -0-
