HHK and ARF to sign power-sharing agreement in the afternoon

The governing Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation/Dashnaktsutyun (ARF) are very likely to sign a power-sharing agreement later today to form a coalition government, a senior member of the ARF, Armen Rustamyan told reporters.
YEREVAN, February 24. /ARKA/. The governing Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation/Dashnaktsutyun (ARF) are very likely to sign a power-sharing agreement later today to form a coalition government, a senior member of the ARF, Armen Rustamyan told reporters.
The text of the agreement has not yet been published, however, according to some sources, the ARF is set to get control of three ministerial portfolios and two gubernatorial posts.
Rustamyan said it is expected that the agreement will be signed by president Serzh Sargsyan, the chairman of the HHK and ARF parliamentary faction secretary Aghvan Vardanyan.
"In all likelihood, if nothing changes, the agreement will be signed and published today in the afternoon," said Rustamyan.
According to him, the ARF has made a set of compromises, but the range of issues reconciled by both sides is already sufficient for cooperation. -0-
