YEREVAN, October 28. /ARKA/. The international community turns a blind eye to Azerbaijan's war crimes against the peaceful population of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), Artsakh Ombudsman Artak Beglaryan said in a video message filmed against the background of a bombed maternity hospital in the capital Stepanakert.

On October 28, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces launched more than 15 strikes on Stepanakert and the second-largest town of Shushi, deliberately targeting the local maternity hospital, as well as a number of residential buildings and public facilities in the capital.

In Shushi, one civilian was killed and two were wounded, a house was completely destroyed, and a school was damaged. In Stepanakert, the consequences of the shelling are being specified.

“This is the Stepanakert maternity hospital, and Azerbaijan struck the building with a heavy rocket an hour ago. There IS multiple destruction. Fortunately, there are no casualties, because there was no one in the building, but they struck civilian areas of Stepanakert with more than ten rockets, and now we are registering the details,” he said.

Noting that there is multiple destruction, the Ombudsman pointed out that Azerbaijan also attacked Shushi, where at least one person was killed and two were injured.

“This is the continuation of the war crimes of Azerbaijan, because they attack all our civilian objects, including humanitarian buildings and hospitals. This is not the first time they have hit a hospital. This is a war crime. But this is not only Azerbaijan's fault, but also the world community's, because it turns a blind eye to all Azerbaijan's war crimes against the peaceful population of Artsakh. Don't be blind," Beglaryan said. -0-
