A Collective Security Treaty Organization’s (CSTO) interstate commission on military and economic cooperation will convene in Yerevan October 1-4, according to Arthur Baghdasaryan, secretary of Armenia’s National Security Council.
YEREVAN, September 19. / ARKA /. A Collective Security Treaty Organization’s (CSTO) interstate commission on military and economic cooperation will convene in Yerevan October 1-4, according to Arthur Baghdasaryan, secretary of Armenia’s National Security Council.
Speaking at a Wednesday meeting of the inter-agency commission coordinating implementation of activities within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, he said the gathering is a very good opportunity to analyze the existing problems and identify new areas for deepening military and economic cooperation.
He said also that Yerevan will host October 1-4 several events of the local anti-drug operation called "Channel -Caucasus " whose international coordination headquarters is located in Armenia.
Baghdasaryan also noted that on September 23 the Russian city of in Sochi will host a CSTO Council session and a meeting of CSTO statutory bodies, where the sides will sign a number of documents. The meeting will also discuss creation of joint air forces. -0-
